Frequently Asked Questions

| Q | When will the El Dorado project go into production? |
| A | Pacific Rim is nearing a production decision for the El Dorado gold project. The January 2005 prefeasibility study for the Minita deposit demonstrates that this portion of the El Dorado project is economically viable. However, soon after releasing this study, Pacific Rim discovered the South Minita gold zone immediately south of the Minita deposit. The Company has been definition drilling South Minita throughout 2005 and anticipates completing this process during the first calendar quarter of 2006. The definition drilling program will lead to calculation of an updated resource estimate for the El Dorado project, followed by an updated economic analysis of an operation based on exploiting both Minita and South Minita. The Company believes South Minita will add additional resources to the operation while only requiring an incremental increase in capital costs, which could positively impact both the size and economic outcome of a mine at El Dorado. Concurrent with the process, the Company is currently in the process of securing an exploitation concession for the portion of the El Dorado project area that comprises the proposed mine site. Upon receipt of this permit and with the updated economic analysis in hand, Pacific Rim anticipates considering a production decision for the El Dorado project in late 2006. Following a positive production decision from the Company, project financing must be arranged and an access/haulage ramp and mine facilities constructed. This construction is anticipated to take 2 to 2 ½ years, at which time the operation would achieve commercial production. |
