In the mining and exploration business, success depends not only on high quality projects but on high quality people as well. The exploration team at Pacific Rim, led by CEO Tom Shrake and Senior Geologists Bill Gehlen, Dave Ernst and Jorge Brito, has a combined 80+ years of experience discovering, evaluating, exploring and advancing mineral deposits in continental margin environments (the geological setting of the Company's El Dorado gold project). They have been successful in identifying numerous deposits and mineral resources in the Americas, including the Lomas Bayas Mine in Chile.

Pacific Rim's goal is to become a highly profitable intermediate gold producer through the discovery and operation of one or more high grade, low cost gold deposits. As part of its strategy to identify high quality projects that have the potential to meet the Company's objectives, Pacific Rim conducts an active and ongoing generative program.

Pacific Rim's project generation campaign involves the proactive identification of areas and projects of interest as well as the evaluation of project submittals. The Company's criteria for possible acquisition of a project, whether through staking, option, joint venture or purchase, revolves around the balance of opportunity and cost. The primary consideration is the mineral potential of a project: only projects focused on gold are considered, and they must display the potential for size and grade that would be required to meet the Company's strategic objectives. In balancing the opportunity and the cost, a simple, direct relationship is used; the greater the opportunity, (in terms of confidence of a projects potential for success), the more Pacific Rim is willing to spend to 'roll the dice'. The Company is continually seeking undervalued projects where that balance is skewed in favour of the opportunity. Pacific Rim also limits its preference to projects in the Americas, projects that focus on high-grade, low-cost underground deposits, projects that occur in continental margin environments, and projects where it can obtain an exclusive or high-majority interest.

Pacific Rim is currently evaluating gold projects for potential acquisition in a number of countries in North, Central and South America.
